Loved the book. In the intro material, were you serious when you said the major ebook vendor will take down books for spelling mistakes?? I wouldn’t be mentioning this otherwise, but I actually DID run across a spelling mistake in the book: You have “ariel,” but the correct spelling is “aerial.”
Hi Jen, so pleased you liked Callum and Zeke (and thanks for the typo pickup – I’m keeping a list – this is number 3 – for the next time I revise and reformat. I’m always happy to hear about them privately.)
Amazon doesn’t take down books just for having spelling mistakes, BUT they have a mechanism by which readers can report “quality issues” directly to them. Some people have used that to report spelling mistakes (perhaps sometimes thinking they were being helpful), and if that happens, AZ may unpublish the book until you “correct” the mistake or convince them it is intentional. I have known authors whose books were held up by reader reports of things that were dialect, jokes, correct, or minor spelling errors. So reporting spelling errors directly to AZ, instead of privately to the author, can make big problems for the book and author to fix. (With the Canadian spellings, this book was at risk for more of that unhelpful reporting – some UK authors have dealt with this.)

Several (at least one…) of your Life Lessons books – for example your “first published book”, with that exact title – are not listed on Kobo. Where can I get them ?

I have an email listed in my “about” tab, but this is fine. Thanks for being interested enough in my books to ask. <3 Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you. (I picked up a not-fun virus, though luckily not covid)
Most of my books are wide on most platforms and on Kobo - a few like Life Lessons series are on Amazon only and in Kindle Unlimited (KU) for borrowing; the Life Lessons series was wide for 10 years, but then I moved it into KU to try to attract new readers who prefer to borrow instead of buy a first exposure to a new author, to lower their risk if they don’t like it.
A few others were part of multi-author series that were initially in KU by contract (like the Carnival of Mysteries or the Rocktoberfest books)- I am gradually moving those out and going wide. As they go wide, I will be putting them on Kobo and into Kobo Plus
I’m not sure if/when I will pull Life Lessons out – there is some advantage to KU discoverability for authors, much as I am not a fan of Amazon, so I may leave this one series there. If you don’t ever do Amazon, the audio is also available on Apple books (not cheaply, but JF Harding does an awesome job with the series.)
